How To Prepare Your Hair For Bleaching

Posted by Marketing Copyrighting on

Hair bleaching procedure is as old as the world but still, many women wonder how they can prepare their natural hair for such a treatment. Right they are! Correct preparation will help you to reduce the adverse effects of bleaching!

1. Consult your hairstylist. Consult a professional regarding the procedure. Different hair types have different needs. If you are planning on lightening your hair at the beauty salon, your stylist can give you some personal recommendations considering your hair type and the required hair protection during bleaching.

2. Give your hair a break. If you have recently treated your hair with any chemicals, leave the idea of bleaching for some time. If you've recently dyed, highlighted, permed, or straightened your hair, wait at least two weeks before bleaching it.

3. Reduce the use of heating tools one week before bleaching. Use less or give up altogether curlers, flat irons, hairdryers, and other heating tools. Such tools are harmful to the hair and hair bleaching will only exacerbate the problem.

4. Stop washing your hair. Don’t wash your hair for a couple of days before the procedure. The bleaching powder for hair will have a less negative effect on the hair if it’s slightly oily during the procedure.

Remember that bleached hair requires special care! Use a deep recovery hair mask as a treatment for weakened hair.
